Dr. Lisa Jenks, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Jenks graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Medicine in 1986. After residency training at Ohio State University, she began a career in emergency medicine.
In 2007, Dr. Jenks opened Genesis MedSpa in Colorado Springs. Since its opening, Genesis has grown tremendously, moving from a 4 treatment room facility into a 7 room facility in 2012. In 2017, another 3 treatment rooms were added to accommodate the continued growth of Genesis. Under her direction, Genesis has thrice won the BBB’s coveted ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ award and has won numerous ‘Best Of’ awards.
Ashley Perez
Office Manager
Ashley Perez was born in Tampa, FL and raised in Nashville, TN. She graduated from Western Governors University obtaining her Bachelor’s of Science in Business and Healthcare Administration. Ashley fell in love with Aesthetics after working in the field and seeing what an impact it makes on people’s lives and their self-confidence. What she loves most about her position is that it provides her the opportunity to invest in individuals and help build them both personally and professionally. When she is not working you can find her spending time with her teenage daughter, Avery, and her furry son, Dodger. Ashley loves to make people laugh and believes you should always leave people better than you found them.
Ashley Raines
Nurse Injector
Ashley was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Colorado springs a few years ago to enjoy the outdoors. Ashley graduated from Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA with her Associate Degree in Nursing and then attended LSU – HSC School of Nursing in New Orleans where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has been a nurse for nine years in the operative setting and looks forward to her new career at Genesis in aesthetics where she can help people look and feel their best!
Lauren Quednow
Nurse Injector
Lauren was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa, and moved to Colorado Springs in the fall of 2019 with her husband. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Dubuque in 2017. She has worked primarily in critical care and post anesthesia care over the last four years. She is so excited about starting this new journey in aesthetic nursing and helping her patients feel the best version of themselves. Lauren is currently working towards her Family Nurse Practitioner Degree and plans to continue to practice in derm/aesthetics upon completion.
Jennifer Moller
Medical Aesthetician
Jennifer grew up in Colorado Springs and worked as a Paraprofessional, for District 20, for 9 years. After living in Hawaii for two years, she decided to move back to the Springs where she attended The Salon Professional Academy for her training in Aesthetics. She loves working and learning at Genesis and enjoys helping our clients with their skin care needs!
Amena Barbagallo
Medical Aesthetician
Amena was born and raised in Colorado. She graduated from the College of International Esthetics in Arvada Colorado. She is certified in Laser, Permanent Makeup, Dermaplaning, Chemical Peels, and Microdermabrasion. Her goals as an Aesthetician are to help people feel beautiful in their own skin and educate them on the importance of taking care of their skin. She believes it is very important to build good relationships with her clients and is always making sure they feel comfortable and can trust her professional advice. Amena is a proud military wife. When she is not working, she is busy with her three boys and husband taking on the world. Amena is excited to build a career at Genesis Med Spa and continue to grow in the Aesthetics industry.
Bree Ogden
Medical Aesthetician
Bree recently moved to Colorado from Utah, where she attended the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics. Before starting her career in aesthetics, Bree worked in publishing for over 9 years. She can’t believe she ever did anything other than aesthetics! She loves it all but has a special passion for laser skin rejuvenation and microneedling. Bree is so excited to spend her days with the talented staff at Genesis and the exceptionally lovely faces of Genesis clients. And at nights, she spends her time with her live-in bunny, a Holland lop named Rorschach.
Shera Jauernic
Medical Aesthetician
Shera is originally from Seattle, she spent a short time in Alaska, and then moved to Colorado Springs with her husband, younger brother and her three fur children. She graduated from The Salon Professional Academy Esthetics school in Colorado Springs. She is very excited to work in the spa industry and has a passion for beauty, skin care and make-up. Shera loves the outdoors, yoga and relaxing with her family.
Maria Iniguez-Ledezma
Medical Aesthetician
Maria was born in Mexico but moved to Colorado Springs at a very young age. She has always known that she wanted to work in the Beauty Industry. She attended the International Salon and Spa here in Colorado Springs – not for aesthetician training but for hairstyling. She quickly knew she had more of a passion for skin than hair and returned to International Salon and Spa to complete her training as a medical aesthetician. Maria loves helping clients feel beautiful, and her favorite services are working with hyperpigmentation and acne scars.
Felicia LaMothe
Medical Aesthetician
Felicia grew up in the small town of Trinidad, Colorado, where she attended college for her degree in Business Management and Administration. She later transferred to UCCS to continue her education. She has always had a passion for the skincare and beauty industries and prides herself on staying up to date on the latest trends in products, techniques and technology. After many years of successful management experience, most recently at another local spa, she is beyond excited to be combining her career and passion alongside the smart, successful women at Genesis! With her capacity to easily grasp, apply and share new knowledge, she aspires to connect people through beauty and self-appreciation. When Felicia is not helping clients enhance their inner beauty, she can be found with her six-year-old son pretending to be a Superhero or in the gym lifting and practicing yoga.
Lauren Jagerson
Customer Service Specialist
Lauren was born and raised in Carmichael, California with her triplet brothers. She worked as the office manager at a salon and spa for three years. After moving to Emmett, Idaho for nearly four years, she moved to Colorado Springs and found Genesis! Her time at Genesis Medspa has been some of her most favorite years. She enjoys the never-ending opportunity to learn the medical aesthetic field and the friendships she makes with coworkers and clients. In her free time Lauren enjoys crafting, fishing, spending time with her pets and traveling home to California to visit family.
Savanah Boyd
Customer Service Specialist
Savanah was born and raised in rural eastern Colorado and moved to Colorado Springs in 2020 with her fiancé and pupper, a Border Collie mix who loves fetch! She enjoys photography, music and being outdoors around a bonfire with her family. She has plans to finish her degree and continue her journey in helping people feel beautiful, inside and out. Savanah is excited and grateful to be a part of the team at Genesis and to learn all the benefits of aesthetic medicine!
Yesenia Sharpe
Customer Service Specialist
Yesenia was born and raised in Colorado Springs and recently moved to Manitou Springs with her son. Yesenia’s number one priority is her son and accredits her family for why she has such a great work ethic and the number one reason she smiles every morning. When she’s’ not working, you can find Yesina enjoying time at the park with her son or in the pool at the gym. Yesenia also loves photography, hiking and painting landscape. Yesenia just started working for the Genesis family and is honored to continue and grow with us, as we teach and help Yesenia learn the wonderful things Genesis MedSpa does for its guests and employees.
Liana Moors
Customer Service Specialist
Liana was born and raised in Colorado Springs. She absolutely loves spending time with loved ones, friends, her puppies and getting dutch bros. She graduated high school in 2019 and got her certification in hairstyling at The International Salon and Spa Academy. She is very interested in the beauty and medical industry and one day wants to become a medical aesthetician. Liana is very excited to be apart of the Genesis team and looks forward to helping every client feel beautiful and making sure they walk out with a smile!
Lindsay Taylor
Marketing Director
Lindsay was born and raised in the Dallas area. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in 2005 and moved out to Colorado in 2007. She obtained her Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2016. Although new to the Medical Aesthetics Industry, she has over 15 years of experience in developing and leading marketing and content strategies. She has a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience and enhancing and building brands using data driven strategies and innovative thinking. Lindsay is excited to be part of the Genesis Team and is eager to help educate clients on the latest advancements in Skin Care, Injectables, and Laser Treatments.
