How many treatments are needed?
Most small vessels and spider veins will disappear after one treatment, although it can take up to 8 weeks after your laser session for the vessels to completely fade away.1* Sometimes, however, these small veins and larger veins will need a second or even a third treatment for best results.*

Do the treatments hurt?
Most patients describe a “hot, stinging” feeling as the pulses of laser energy are delivered. Although most patients do not need a topical anesthetic, that is available if desired. After the treatment is complete, there is no pain or discomfort.*
Will there be restrictions on my activity after the CoolGlide laser treatment?
You may immediately return to normal activities, including exercise. No special hose need to be worn after the Cutera vessel treatment. We do recommend wearing a strong sunscreen on any treated areas if they are exposed to the sun.
What body parts can be treated?
While the most common areas for the treatment of unwanted vessels are the face and the legs, any body part can be treated.*
Are there side effects?
The most common side effect after vessel ablation therapy is some redness and swelling at the site of the treatment.1 These usually last less than 24 hours.* Some vessels will bruise with the treatment and, in rare instances, blisters may occur. These and all other side effects will be discussed at your consultation.
