Dr. Lisa Jenks
Genesis MedSpa Medical Director
Dr. Jenks graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Medicine in 1986. After residency training at Ohio State University, she began a career in emergency medicine.
In 2007, Dr. Jenks opened Genesis MedSpa in Colorado Springs. Since it’s opening, Genesis has grown tremendously, moving from a 4 treatment room facility into a 7 room facility in 2012. In 2017, another 3 treatment rooms were added to accommodate the continued growth of Genesis Under her direction, Genesis has won the BBB’s coveted ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ award three times and has won numerous ‘Best Of’ awards.
Dr. Jenks has trained under Dr. DeMaio and has achieved master certification in filler injection techniques.
Throughout her career, Dr. Jenks has volunteered extensively. Most recently, her volunteer work has included SET of Colorado Springs, which provides medical care for the indigent population, as well as the Humane Society of Pikes Peak, and various volunteer jobs at her church.
In her spare time, Dr. Jenks enjoys spending time with her three grown children, road-biking, hiking and quilting.

July 19, 2018 – Dr. Jenks joins the Skin Inc. advisory board! The Skin Inc. Advisory Board serves as a sounding board to what is happening in the spa industry. These industry veterans provide Skin Inc. editors with expert input on given topics, contribute their thought leadership through articles and bring that thought leadership to life by presenting at Face & Body events nationwide.

DermAesthetic Consulting
In 2016, Dr. Jenks started Genesis Consulting in order to share her expertise with physicians who were wanting to transition into medical aesthetics. Several years later, in 2019, she teamed up with Ashley James, a national laser trainer and aesthetician who has successfully opened and managed multiple medical spas. Together, they formed DermAesthetic Consulting.
