 BOTOX®
is one of the most recent and most exciting advances for treatment
of wrinkles, lines, and the aging face. BOTOX® is a highly
purified, naturally occurring protein which has the ability to
very precisely relax the muscles to which it is applied. This
relaxation lasts for a number of months, and then the treated
muscles gradually return to their original condition. This is
done in a way to not alter your natural expression and features.
It takes just a few minutes and can last between 4-6 months.
Botox can also be an effective adjunct in the treatment
of TMJ disorders.

Inform your practitioner if you have had a history of Bell's palsy, Polio infection, or are currently taking aminoglycoside therapy.How long does BOTOX® Cosmetic last?
On average, people need a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment 3 to 4 times a year to maintain their results.What should I do to prepare for my BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment?
Avoid ibuprofen (such as Motrin and Advil) for 3 to 4 days prior to your treatment. Aspirin should not be taken for 7 days prior, unless it is being used for a medical condition. Alcohol should not be consumed for 24 hours prior to the treatment. These will all increase your risk of minor bruising in the treated area.What do I do after a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment?
Do contract the treated muscle every few minutes for the first hour after your treatment. Do not exercise vigorously or lie down for a minimum of four hours.
