About the Cutera Laser

Cutera was founded in 1998 with a goal of becoming the worldwide leading provider of laser and other light-based aesthetic systems to the aesthetic market. With easy-to-use products, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, gynecologists, primary care physicians and other qualified practitioners can offer safe, effective and non-invasive aesthetic treatments to their patients.
The first product, the CoolGlide® CV, was commercially launched in March of 2000 for hair removal, and every year since we have introduced at least one new product for our customers to treat additional aesthetic conditions.
A key feature of the laser is its upgradeable design; each time a new product is introduced, customers have been able to increase the capability of their earlier-generation systems by upgrading to the newest system.
Current applications of our lasert family include: permanent hair reduction on all skin types and tanned skin; treatment of vascular conditions, including leg and facial veins; a wide range of non-ablative skin rejuvenation applications; and the treatment of pigmented lesions.

Laser Genesis™ Skin Rejuvenation
The unique action of Laser Genesis™ targets the red discoloration in the skin’s dermal layer. Laser Genesis™ is a safe, non-ablative procedure that promotes healthy looking skin by reducing diffuse redness, reducing pore size and improving skin tone and texture. The procedure creates a gentle warming of the skin that patients enjoy, and is truly a "no downtime" procedure.
Laser Genesis™ can safely, effectively and simultaneously treat a wide range of facial concerns, such as broken capillaries, skin discoloration, mottled pigmentation, and the symptoms of rosacea. A thorough consultation with our staff will determine the proper treatment for your specific needs.

Session Duration: Approx. 30 minutes. Series of 6 Treatments at two week Intervals Are Recommended For Best Results.

IPL Laser Therapy for Pigmented Lesions
Sun spots or age spots, as they are commonly called, are caused by chronic sun exposure. Our laser's unique pulsed light hand piece has been optimized for treating areas damaged by the sun, as well as for improving overall skin tone and texture.

Session Duration: Approx. 30 mins. Series of 3-5 Treatments at Monthly Intervals Are Recommended For Best Results.

Laser Removal of Unwanted
Broken Capillaries & Spider Veins
This laser treatment is a safe, fast, gentle and effective method for removal of unwanted blood vessels on the face and body. In just a few treatment sessions (in some cases only a single treatment session), you can greatly improve the appearance of skin blemished by unwanted spider veins and broken capillaries.

Session Duration: Approx. 15 minutes. session duration varies according to area being treated. 1-6 Treatments may be necessary for best results.

Photodynamic Therapy for Sun Damage,
Wrinkles, Pigmentation & Acne
Photodynamic skin rejuvenation involves the application of Levulan, a photosensitizing agent, which is then activated with a blue light. This results in significant improvement in conditions such as Actinic Keratosis, actinically damaged skin, and moderate to severe cystic acne. Additionally, it improves wrinkles, pore size, skin texture, pigmentation, rosacea, sebaceous hyperplasia, and potentially prevents the development of skin cancer. This treatment also has the unique ability to reduce oil glands, effectively treating stubborn acne vulgaris, acne rosacea, and improve the appearance of some acne scars. This combination therapy is revolutionizing how we approach skin rejuvenation of damaged skin.

Duration: Up to 1 Hour. To improve the appearance, a series of 2-3 treatments 2-4 weeks apart is most effective. Some patients are happy with one treatment. More treatments can be done at periodic intervals in the future to maintain the rejuvenated appearance of the skin.

TITAN™ "Skin Tightening" Laser Face-Lift
The TITAN™ technology uses a unique light source and creates tissue tightening of loose skin. Titan utilizes a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin's surface. This heating can cause immediate collagen contraction. After the procedure, there is instant tightening of existing collagen. In addition, new collagen growth is stimulated, resulting in continued improvement for up to 8 months after treatment. The combination of increased collagen and increased tightness of the collagen matrix lasts up to several years. TITAN™ has been shown in research trials to work on various areas of laxity (sagging & drooping skin), such as the face, neck, stomach, and upper arms. It is also effective on loose skin from weight loss. This treatment provides skin and tissue tightening without surgery, downtime, or pain.

Multi-Dimensional Laser Rejuvenation Programs

2D Skin Rejuvenation
This program is a combination of IPL and Genesis. Both treatments can be done at the same session – this is an excellent option for treating a combination of browns, reds and enlarged pores.

3D Skin Rejuvenation
This program is a combination of IPL, Genesis and Titan – again, everything can be done at the same appointment. This is the “ultimate” in laser therapy – resulting in increased collagen as well as smoothing out uneven skin tones, decreasing pore size and decreasing surface wrinkles.

Session Duration: Approx. 90 minutes. Our staff will determine the number of treatments that will bring you the best possible results.

CUTERA PEARL
This new treatment addresses wrinkles and uneven texture while minimizing the recovery time experienced from other more aggressive resurfacing procedures. During treatment, the very top layer of your skin is exfoliated. The stimulation caused by the laser results in the remodeling of collagen, which creates a firm, toned look to the skin. This is an excellent treatment that restores the skin's structure, vitality and appearance.

Session Duration: Approx. 40 minutes. Series of 2 Treatments Are Recommended 28 days apart. Results may last up to 2 years.
